SUmmit - Launch ATTEMPT 01
Date: 3rd Oct 2020
Result: Pad anomaly fire
Main Problem: Motor underperformed
Description: After 9 ignition attempts, Summit V1.0 sat on the launch pad with its motor burning for 24 seconds. The result was a fire which destroyed the base clamps, TVC and landing legs.
Summit - Launch ATTEMPT 02
Date: 25th Oct 2020
Result: Unstable flight and crash
Main Problem: Stuck in pad idle mode, no stabilisation
Description: 3 weeks after the first attempt, Summit V1.0 lifted off the ground. The flight computer got stuck in pad idle mode due to a software error, so the rocket flew without TVC. The only damage was a smashed nose cone, however major upgrades will be made.
